Covid-19 MyClubmoor’s Community Support
The graffiti on the Community Hub shutter is emblazoned with the message COME TOGETHER and never has this simple statement been more relevant.
We care for our community and during this current pandemic, when our Hub in Maiden Lane is temporarily closed, we still want to support our residents and want to let you know you can still contact us during this time; we’ll do our utmost to help, if we can’t we’ll steer you in the right direction.

Red and Green Card Scheme
We have adopted a little scheme that has worked wonderfully around the U.K; to help you, your neighbours and the vulnerable in your immediate community, your street of residence.
Neighbours around the country are putting a GREEN card in their window to indicate that all is well or a RED card in their window if they need help with shopping, prescriptions, etc. This may be due to self-isolating, adhering to current restrictions put in place to help control Coronavirus or simply just being unable to get out.
Maybe this is something your street could start?
Here are some RED and GREEN cards, if you would like to participate or know anyone on your street who would benefit please take some, along with this explanation note and distribute accordingly.
We can look out for our more vulnerable neighbours and each other without invading personal space and keeping with social distancing rules.
Please remember we have a lot of senior citizens, venerable people and parents at home with their children, who may need some extra support or assistance.
Weekly Activities via Social Media
Look out on our Facebook page, we will be posting regular updates and activities:
Monday: Sharing the local talent of people playing some music. If you are a musician or any kind and would be happy for us to share a video of yourself playing a song or piece of music on the MyClubmoor Page please send it to [email protected]. Seeing you singing a song may cheer up someone’s day.
Wednesday: In place of our shared reading group, a poem for you to read aloud and share at home. Also please email any poems you write during the lockdown and we will publish online; send to [email protected] and contact directly if you would like to discuss. Once we are back in the Community Hub we will arrange a Poetry evening.
Thursday: Tips to help you grow and garden safely at home as part of our Incredible Edible Project.
Friday: A recipe from our local cookery group (@HomeCookedCIC). Post and share pictures/videos of your results.
Saturday: Crafternoon, a simple craft activity to do at home. Post and share pictures/videos of your results.
We cannot wait until we can all COME TOGETHER once again in the Community Hub and look forward to our future community events.

Liverpool City Council has also established a good neighbour scheme, here are some details:
Are you unable to leave home due to coronavirus? Do you need help? ASK FOR IT.
The Liverpool Good Neighbour Scheme will match volunteers with people in need who don’t have anyone else nearby to help with day-to-day tasks.
The scheme is not designed to replace any social care or NHS services you may receive but it can give you additional support. If you have a medical condition that makes you extremely vulnerable to coronavirus you can register with GOV.UK for food parcels and other support.
What tasks can I ask for help with?
You can ask for help with the tasks you cannot do because you cannot leave home, such as shopping or collecting prescriptions. Or you may like to ask to chat with a volunteer on the phone to break up your day and hear a friendly voice.
