Graphic Design and Typography Competition

This year MyClubmoor and Aaron Givens from @Grveyardshft have teamed up to come up with a lockdown competition for anyone interested in graphic design, illustration, typography, art or anyone else who wants to give it a try.

Aaron inspired us when he won the competition to give our shutters at MyClubmoor’s Community Hub a makeover with the key message ‘Come Together’.

Not only was it modern, stylish and a slick design but it really shows people who visit MyClubmoor a sense of our community and what we are about.

Due to current circumstances with Covid-19, ourselves and Aaron wanted to produce an activity which other inspiring artists could follow to help develop their skills during these difficult times. Even though we physically can’t be together right now we can all work together virtually to come up with some great ideas.

What we want from you:

We would like anyone interested in taking part to come up with a word(s) or message that can inspire, uplift and reflect your thoughts of what community means to you. Using our tutorial pack come up with a cool design for your word and send it back to us.

So, how to get involved? Simply:

1. Download the pack from our website:

2. Use the pack and this video guide to inspire you and create your design.

3. Once you’re done send your designs back to us along with your name and contact details to [email protected]

Deadline: Sunday 4th April 2021

For more info about the project, click the button!

We will pick 3 of our favourite designs who will each receive a £100 gift voucher and the winner’s designs will be featured within the 3 shop-front murals we are designing near our Community Hub, 56 Maiden Lane, L13 9AW. (see examples below)

This is a great opportunity to show off your skills and potentially have your artwork featured in the city!

Get creative, inspire and let your imagination run wild!

"I remember when this place was a builders yard, it’s great to see the regeneration of the building and see it developed into a community asset which the people of Clubmoor can use."
